New Department Head of Economics and Business Management

Prof. Rechlin on his appointment Head of Department in the Sector of Economics and Business Management

On October 1st, 2020, Prof. Dr. Uwe Rechlin took over the leadership of the Department of Economics and Business Management from Prof. Dr. Dietmar Lucht. Prof. Lucht, Professor of Real Estate Management at the bbw Hochschule and anchor professor for the bachelor's programme in Economics - Real Estate Management and master's programme in Real Estate Project Management, had decided to hand over the leadership of the department this summer in order to focus on the supervision of his study courses, students and teaching. He held the position as department leader for a period of 7 years in total. With Prof. Rechlin, a highly esteemed and long-standing professor has taken over the position of department leader. He has been Professor of General Business Administration at bbw Hochschule since 2013 and will continue to teach in this field. Prof. Rechlin was unanimously elected by the professors of the department in an election process. A very convincing result. We would like to thank Prof. Lucht for his many years of commitment as head of the department and look forward to working with Prof. Rechlin.
