DiNöB stands for Digital Narration as an
innovative didactic approach for an economic education in trade. This project facilitates the development of new teaching methods and their testing in becoming a qualified retail merchandiser and in the Bachelor Degree study programme of the bbw University of Applied Sciences.
Thereby, a comprehensible and emotional access to economical topics for all learners is achieved. With the help of digitalized narratives (didactic narration) that have a connection to the
concrete working and living world of the learners, complex relationships as well as their relevance for the own life shall be made clear. Until November 2017 the subproject at the bbw University of Applied Sciences pursues the objective to provide economic topics in a more understandable way with the help of a personal access and special relation that learners shall establish to the subject matter. The development of an emotional bond shall broaden economical thinking skills and economical behaviour in certain areas and therefore provides economically experienced professionals for the companies, where previously less achievements or similar learning effects with greater efforts have been achieved. This is accomplished by a joint selection of learning topics of economic education, the creation of stories for the different levels for learners which afterwards are transformed into digital concepts. Subsequently, testing and evaluation takes place.
The
framework plot of all stories is set in Berlin-Neukölln. There lives a residential community consisting of different young people that experience various stages of development within three years. A late night shop, situated in the ground floor of the building, is also a fixed part of the different stories. The narratives are told as short stories. A narrator tells them in episodes that are well pictured. In the end, learners have to complete different tasks. Hereby, the objective is to provide the lecturer a large pool of various exercises that can be applied in a flexible way.
