Heide Traemann, the new chancellor of bbw University of Applied Sciences, is in office. The professional economist and media expert with business and university expertise from various leading positions strengthens the bbw university administration from now on. It is now essential to refine the international profile of bbw University as a University of Applied Sciences for Sciences regionally and to make it secure for the future. Born in Bremen Heide Traemann is married and has one child.
Ten years after its founding, she is looking forward developing the university further together with her colleagues. For this, the university administration has set the course, e.g. for a stronger international focus on the range of studies and for the digitisation of studies and university. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gebhard Hafer, the rector of our university, welcomed our new chancellor and said: "We will need some good ideas in the coming years to meet the challenges of internationalisation and digitisation at our university and to make it secure for the future at all levels. Therefore, I am glad about Heide Traemann as a new member of university administration and about the joint work - warm welcome."
The chair of the advisory board of our university and managing director of the business associations Berlin-Brandenburg, Christian Amsinck, wished our chancellor a lot of success. He said: "I am looking forward to a constructive collaboration. Following the successful establishment on the higher education landscape of the region in the past years, the bbw University of Applied Sciences must now refine its profile as a university of sciences for sciences. The companies of the region need junior staff specialists and managers who are trained on a high academic level and with a practical orientation at bbw University of Applied Sciences."
