Today, 17th October 2022, the new international students were welcomed for the winter semester 2022/23. A total of 145 students of the degree programmes International Technology Transfer Management, Strategic Management in Logistics, Business Management and Engineering and Management of Creative Industries were enrolled in a festive ceremony. The event was held in hybrid form, as not all students are currently in Berlin and therefore could not be present on site. The option of virtual participation was well received by the new students, a half taking part in the event online. The local participants arrived at the Haus der Wirtschaft at around 10 am.
Ursula Schwill, Chancellor of the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences, and Prof. Dr. Lukas Rafflenbeul, Professor of Industrial Engineering at the bbw, opened the event with a speech and introduced themselves as well as the University and its vision. Prof. Rafflenbeul also gave the students a few motivating words on the way to their new stage of life. Prof. Dr. Robert Dust, Professor of International Technology Transfer Management, continued with a keynote speech in which he explained the importance of technology transfer and ongoing digitalisation to the new students.
After the official event, all the students and staff of the bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences came together for an exchange over drinks and finger food. We wish the new students all the best for their studies!
