bbw Hochschule is the first German university to vaccinate its students against Covid-19

In the past two weeks, the bbw Hochschule was the first German university to offer its students a vaccination programme. On 16.6.2021, in the first run, over 100 students and staff* were able to get vaccinated with Biontech/Pfizer by a company doctor from bbw at the university.

"We are very pleased that our offer was so well received by our students. Within a few hours we had received several hundred requests," Prof. Hafer, Rector of the bbw Hochschule. "The preparations and organisation were very extensive, but the effort was worth it as long as we can make a contribution to containing the pandemic."

The students at bbw Hochschule were happy that they were finally able to get an uncomplicated appointment for their first vaccination. "As a student, I unfortunately had little chance of getting an appointment for vaccination soon beforehand. I am very happy that bbw Hochschule was able to offer me the opportunity to protect myself and others from the Corona virus. Thank you very much for this!" says Marie, a 6th semester student at bbw Hochschule.

In the coming weeks, bbw Hochschule will arrange the appointments for the second vaccination and also organise further runs for initial vaccinations for students and new students at bbw Hochschule.
