The bbw University of Applied Sciences has its first club! On 12 October 2023, the "Intercultural Communication Club" started for our international students. The weekly event is initiated and led by Prof. Buller, with organisational support from the International Office.

Intercultural Communication examines communication between different cultures and social groups and describes the many communication processes and associated challenges between groups of people with different cultural backgrounds.

With these weekly meetings, bbw University of Applied Sciences is offering international students for the first time the opportunity to discuss cultural differences and similarities. The idea behind this is, on the one hand, to give our first-year students a good start at our bbw University in Berlin - and thus to manage a possible "culture shock" - and, on the other hand, to give all international bbw students a complex insight into German culture that goes far beyond the academic.

With 15 participants, it was a very successful start, and a wide range of topics were discussed with great interest. The International Office was also actively involved and can only encourage everyone to take part in this lively and exciting event.
